PALESTINE activists have claimed responsibility for attacking an estate agency in Knutsford.
Police are investigating after vandals smashed windows and daubed red paint over the premises of Fisher German on Tatton Street.
A table and chairs in an office were damaged after bottles of red paint were thrown through a window.
The building is believed to have been targeted in the early hours of Tuesday, November 15.
Palestine Action has claimed responsibility for the criminal damage as part of a campaign against the company.
Political activists say they are protesting against Fisher German leasing out a factory to Israeli arms company. Elbit.
It follows a spate of similar attacks at the firm’s estate agencies in Leicestershire, Oxfordshire and Birmingham over the past few months.
A tweet, showing pictures of the damage at the Knutsford business, reads: ‘Palestine Action smash and spray Fisher German, the managing agents of Israel’s weapons factory in Shenstone.
“Actions only stop when Elbit’s evicted.”
A graffiti message ‘Glory to the Lions Den’ was stencilled on the side of the building.
Police have confirmed they were called to reports of criminal damage on Tuesday morning.
A police spokesman said: “The caller reported that an unknown person had smashed a number of windows and thrown paint into the building.”
The incident is understood to have taken place at 1.50am on November 15.
