A KNUTSFORD site manager has won a prestigious accolade for his outstanding work on new homes in the town.
Jake Green received a Seal of Excellence from the National House Building Council (NHBC) at the Pride in the Job Awards for managing Redrow’s Tabley Park development.
Launched more than 40 years ago, this is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry.

The awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.
Dad-of-two Jake said: “I am delighted to receive this accolade after only starting with Redrow as a trainee five years ago.
“I cannot thank my team and everyone around me enough who have helped develop me into a site manager over the last five years and have also contributed to this Seal of Excellence win.”
Earlier in the year, Jake won an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award, given to the top 450 site managers in the country, selected from a field of more than 11,000.
Jake proceeded to compete for the Seal of Excellence and was one of only 94 people to be given the coveted accolade.
He was also named Redrow’s NW site manager of the year.
Jake joined the company through a graduate scheme in 2017.
After managers spotted his potential, he was taken off what should have been a two-year training programme and fast tracked to a promotion after just 11 months.
Jake was appointed assistant site manager at 23 and given his own site to finish off at Mulberry Park in Macclesfield.
He took over Cranberry Gardens in Congleton before being made site manager at Tabley Park.
Phil Reeves, construction director for Redrow’s Northwest division said: “Congratulations to Jake on his Seal of Excellence Award, which is well deserved.
“Jake always puts in 100 per cent and is a great asset to us here at Redrow.
“He is setting a real example for his peers with his attention to detail, and the homes at Tabley Park reflect the care and quality of his work, and that of his team on site.”
Steve Wood, NHBC chief executive said:” We believe that the calibre of the site manager and the way they inspire their site team has the greatest influence on the quality of the finished home.
“By promoting friendly rivalry, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence, Pride in the Job supports the delivery of homes of the highest quality.
“Congratulations to all the 2022 Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence and Regional Award winners.
"They are an inspiration to us all and should be very proud of the quality of new homes they are creating.”
The national Supreme Award winners will be unveiled in January 2023.
