IMAGINATIVE passengers were challenged to capture a picture through a train window.
Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership ran the competition throughout the summer.
Entries were judged by photographers John Horsley and Paul Worpole.
Community rail officer Steve Forde, said: “We were very impressed by the quality and photographic skills of the winning entries.
“They also did a very good job of promoting the activities and attractions that can be found along the line.
“A huge thanks for our judges for deciding the winners and to everyone who took part. “We intend to run the competition again next year.
“The prizes were fantastic and we extend our thanks especially to West Coast Main Line, Northern Rail and Delamere Station House.”
Winners were presented with their prizes on Knutsford train station.
Ethan Morgan, 5-12 years, won four Go Ape tickets at Delamere Forest and tea and cake at Delamere Station House.
Lucas Cronin, 12-18 years, received a family ticket for Northern Rail.
David Morgan, over 18, won two adult tickets for West Coast Main Line.
A special award was given to Eliza and Sam Bishop who entered a photograph that was personified summer rail travel but didn’t meet the actual brief.
They won a sweetie hamper courtesy of Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe.
