HOLLYWOOD film and TV star Kiefer Sutherland has chosen Cheshire musicians to support his UK tour.
Fine Lines from Knutsford will be backing his country rock band on all 12 dates of his ‘Chasing the Rain Tour’.
Although better known for his starring roles in cult films such as The Lost Boys and Flatliners and small screen smash hits 24 and Designated Survivor, Kiefer has developed a successful music career.
The country rocker is now on the last leg of his world tour.
Seven-piece Americana band, featuring BBC radio presenter Mark Radcliffe, from Knutsford, as drummer and lyricist, can’t wait to join him on stage.

Frontman David Boardman, from Knutsford, said: “It is a dream come true.
“We’re so grateful to Kiefer for taking us along on tour as we’re big fans of his music and feel that our style and sound compliments his so well.
“Everyone in the band is revved up for the tour.
“It will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our songs to Americana and country fans across the UK.”
The tour starts on Wednesday, October 26 in Glasgow, with a punishing schedule of 12 dates in 14 days.
“It is going to be quite gruelling,” said dad-of-two David, 49, who has taken time off from his guitar teaching job for the gigs.
“It will be quite tough vocally. I’ve toured in the past with a group but never done it as a singer.”
Singer-songwriter David formed the band in 2016.
“It started off as a solo project and then I roped in friends,” said David.
“I got to know Mark Radcliffe and he asked if he could play drums.
“Before we knew it we had a seven-piece band.
“We’ve got a fiddle, piano and Hammond organ, pedal steel and bass.
“I don’t’ think there are other groups in the UK that have that great blend of instruments.
“There is a great chemistry between us, we make a great noise. It gives a unique sound.”
Their debut album ‘Hour of Need’ and follow up ‘Gaslight Roses’ both received glowing reviews.
The band has been performing to increasingly appreciative audiences, including festivals.
The band’s third album ‘Deadbeat Lullabies’ was released in October 2021.
David concentrates on writing the music now, whilst Mark comes up with the words.
“I used to write most of the songs myself,” said David. “Mark is an accomplished lyricist. We started writing stuff together.
“We have an Elton John, Bernie Taupin relationship.
“Songwriting is the thing I enjoy most. Mark has a knack of writing words he feels I could sing.
“Mark writes about places or situations and there can be quite emotional lyrics within that. It works well.”
David was a full-time artist before becoming a guitar teacher 12 years ago.
Centred round the twin vocals of David and Zoe Blythe, the band is complimented by Gary O’Brien (piano and Hammond organ), Emily Doggett (fiddle), Chris Lee (pedal steel), Jim Broughton (bass) and Mark Radcliffe (drums).
If you can’t see them on the tour, the band has just announced a December gig at Knutsford Little Theatre on Saturday, December 3.
