A DRIVER caught speeding at 82mph on a motorway has been fined.
Cerise Pike, of Styal View, Wilmslow, pleaded not guilty to exceeding the legal 70mph speed limit when the case was heard at Bath Magistrates Court on September 21.
The 36-year-old was caught on camera driving a vehicle on the M5 northbound in Gloucestershire between junction 17 and 16 on February 26 of this this year.
An automatic camera recorded a speed of 82mph, the court heard.

After listening to the evidence provided by Avon and Somerset Constabulary, magistrates found the Pike to be guilty of the offence.
Pike was fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £34 victim surcharge.
The defendant’s driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
Pike was given until November 9 to pay the £344 court bill.
