A DEDICATED team helping people to find work has been praised.
Tatton MP Esther McVey visited a job club at Hope Central in Londridge, in partnership with Christians Against Poverty at the Welcome Hub.
Volunteers provide both practical and emotional support to residents searching for employment.

Ms McVey said: “The job club offers invaluable help to residents whether that be accessing the internet, helping write a CV, preparing people for interviews through mock questions or helping with self esteem and confidence.
“It is about building a person up and setting goals and then supporting them through the process by tackling any barriers people may face.
“I am passionate about projects like this and I would encourage anyone who needs a little extra support in finding work to go along to Longridge to see how they can help.
Support on offer is tailored to suit each individual person.
People can be supported on a one to one basis or through group sessions.
The same charities also run another job club in Handforth.
Ms McVey said she will be discussing the projects with ministers in Parliament to see what support may be available to the charities.
Job club manager Karen Wyer said: “Our job club sets out to empower our members and give them a space to be heard and to build their confidence.
“Esther’s visit was so important to us as our members felt that she listened to their issues.
“It was great for her to see the work we’re doing.”
