SPECIAL events are taking place in Knutsford this week as part of a nationwide climate action campaign.
Great Big Green Week will see thousands of people across the UK organising festivals and events.
Knutsford Big Bulb Plant will be launched to encourage residents to join neighbours to plant spring flowering bulbs supplied by the Town Council.
Crosstown Community Orchard is inviting people to plant bulbs from 10am to 12 noon on Sunday, September 25.

The orchard, off Mobberley Road, is now home to 38 varied fruit trees and is care for a shared by the community.
Volunteers are welcome to help with some general maintenance.
Town ranger Bob Garner is leading a litter pic of Dog Wood, from the Moor to Tatton Park.
Anyone interested in joining in can meet him at the Moor entrance at 1pm on Wednesday, September 28.
Bob will be working with volunteers to create a shady wildflower meadow on Sparrow Lane the following day, Thursday, September 29.
You can join him at the green space by the path to Higher Downs and Delmar Road at 11am.
Joe Godden from Knutsford Allotment Society will be leading a tour of Warren Avenue allotment site on Saturday, October 1.
Friends of the Moor will be raising the 2022 Green Flag at 2pm on the same day, followed by a litter pick of the Moor and Barncroft.
The town council is hosting a community climate conversation at St John’s Church at 2pm on Sunday, October 2.
Community leaders from Save Our Shropshire will be leading a discussion to see what Knutsford can do as a community to tackle climate change.
It is hoped that the debate will help to shape a community climate action plan to bring Knutsford Town Council, business and the community together for a co-ordinated campaign.
The Great Big Green Week is coordinated by The Climate Coalition, the UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action against climate change, whose members include the National Trust, WWF, Women's Institute, Oxfam, and RSPB.
Other organisations supporting the campaign include BT, British Mountaineering Council, and the Manchester United Foundation.
Knutsford Town Council received a grant from The Great Big Green Week to bring green activity to Knutsford this year.
