AFTER a busy summer, Manchester Airport is gearing up for the coming months with a giant jobs fair.
More than 650 roles are available.
Posts up for grabs include customer services, security, hospitality and car parking.
In addition to operational roles, there are also almost 100 job vacancies in IT, finance, energy, assets, commercial and engineering.
The jobs fair is being held on Thursday, September 22, from 10am to 1pm at the Forum Centre in Wythenshawe.
Opportunities to work in retail are also available.
Companies that run shops at the airport will be on hand to showcase vacancies at outlets including Wagamama, Spar, Costa Coffee, Pret a Manger, JD Sports, WHSmith, Boots and KFC.
Other businesses offering jobs include Dnata Catering, HMS Host, DHL, Menzies Aviation and Interstate Hotels to name a few.
Chris Woodroofe, managing director at Manchester Airport, said: “After a busy summer where we have flown more than 2.7 million people off on their holidays, it is great to now be focusing on the months ahead with this jobs fair.
“We’re committed to ensuring that our neighbouring communities share in the benefits of having a major international airport nearby, so it is particularly pleasing to host this jobs fair on our doorstep.
“There are a wide range of roles available, both with Manchester Airport and its partners.
“I very much look forward to welcoming all successful candidates when they start their career journey here.”
The jobs fair is being organised by the Manchester Airport Academy and is in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and Manchester City Council.
Anyone looking for a job will be able to talk directly with employers.
It will be a chance to learn more about various companies and opportunities that are available.
