A DRIVER clocked speeding on the M6 has been hit with a £1,400 court penalty.
A hearing for Stuart Simpson, of Holmes Chapel Road, Over Peover, Knutsford, took place at Cannock Magistrates Court on August 26.
The 45-year-old was caught on camera driving a black Audi on the M6 northbound between junctions 10a and 13 in Cannock at a speed exceeding 70mph on June 23, this year.

The defendant was fined £979 and ordered to pay £391 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
Magistrates endorsed his driving licence with six points.
The bench took his guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence.
Simpson was given until September 23 to pay the £1,460 court penalty.
