TWO teenage boys aged 15 and 17 have appeared in court charged with robbery.
The two defendants from Knutsford, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had pleaded not guilty to stealing AirPods and an iPhone worth £1,200 from Altrincham Interchange on May 5, this year.
The pair changed their pleas to guilty at Stockport Magistrates Court on August 24, the day that had been set for a trial.
The court heard that in the case of an adult this offence could have resulted in a custodial sentence.

Both defendants were referred to Cheshire East youth offender panel for 12 months.
Magistrates ordered the parents/guardians of each boy to pay £600 compensation, £200 costs and £22 victim surcharge.
The defendants’ guilty pleas were taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
The parent/guardian of the 15-year-old was given permission to pay the £822 court penalty at a rate of £50 per month starting on September 21.
In the case of the 17-year-old, magistrates accepted an offer of £80 a month starting on the same date.
