A JAPANESE summer garden festival is being held once again at Tatton Park.
This year’s Matsuri festival takes place on Saturday, August 13, from 11am to 4pm.
The event will showcase authentic Japanese cultural experiences.
Visitors will be able to watch ikebana, the art of flower arranging blossoms, branches, leaves, and stems.
The celebration takes place amid the cherry trees and against the backdrop of Tatton’s very own Japanese garden.
A tea ceremony will be held and there will be musical performances.
Arts and crafts activities such as calligraphy, origami and Japanese dance workshops will be available.
Some of the leading specialists in Japanese culture in the UK will be on hand to answer questions about the country and its people.
The Matsuri Festival s being hosted in association with the Japanese Embassy, Japan Society Northwest and JETAA Northwest.
