A MAN with a ‘flagrant disregard’ for court orders has been jailed after attacking a woman in front of children.
Jermaine Bellamy, of Longridge, Knutsford, appeared in Warrington Magistrates’ Court on August 5 after pleading guilty to the offence.
The court heard how on August 3 in Wilmslow, Bellamy assaulted a woman by beating her.
By committing this offence, the 35-year-old was in breach of a restraining order against the same woman imposed by Manchester Crown Court on May 10, 2019.
Taking his guilty plea into consideration, magistrates jailed Bellamy for 10 months.
They said his disregard for court orders and the fact he committed the assault in front of children were reasons for an immediate custodial sentence.
Bellamy will also need to pay a £187 surcharge.
