RESIDENTS are urging drivers to slow down and save lives.
Neighbours living on a Knutsford Street are supporting the 20’s Plenty campaign to stop motorists speeding in residential areas.
To coincide with the RHS Tatton Flower Show, people on Sugar Pit Lane will be decorating their wheelie bins 'in bloom' with stickers promoting their crusade.

Resident Amanda Iremonger, co secretary of Cheshire East Green Party, said: “I believe we should be doing a lot more to make our planet greener.
“Cheshire West has saved more than £3 million by implementing this lifesaving measure, by reducing accidents.
“Together with the environmental benefits, reducing emissions, and the safety of people and their pets, this seems to be a win-win for us all.”
Residents say drivers often take short cuts through this residential street beside Tatton Park.
“We’re next to The Heath and drivers are doing a higher speed before they come down our street,” said Amanda.
“The thought process takes time to slow down.
“The speed limit is currently 30mph.
“We believe we could save a lot of lives if the 20’s Plenty campaign was implemented across Knutsford and the whole of Cheshire East.”
Cheshire East Council has pledged to publish a report on its new speed management strategy in the coming months, following public consultation earlier in the year.
20's Plenty for Us is a not for profit organisation with more than 600 local groups campaigning to make cities, towns and villages around the world better places to be.
