A MOBBERLEY man has been banned from driving after crashing into a car in a business park and failing to stop or swap details with the owner.
Richard Wright, of Marion Drive, was also driving a Range Rover other than in accordance with a license at the time of the accident, which took place at Lyme Green Business Park in Macclesfield on December 11, 2021.
The 45-year-old was appearing in Crewe Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 14, where he pleaded guilty to a total of six charges.
Wright had already been stopped by police on Mobberley Road on November 9 last year because he had been driving the Range Rover, when he wasn’t permitted to drive a vehicle of that class.
Just over a month later, he was driving the same Range Rover when it collided with a Peugeot 208, causing damage to it, but he failed to stop. He also failed to report the accident to either the police or the other driver.
During both incidents, Wright had also been driving without insurance due to him not having the right kind of license in place.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for a period of 12 months. He was also fined £120.
