A MAN has been hit with a £800 court penalty for refusing to give police the name of a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Majid Cheema, of Alum Court, Holmes Chapel, was found guilty of the offence, in his absence, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on May 26.
A police officer had requested the name of a driver in Bradford on February 8, this year.

Cheema was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £66 victim surcharge.
Magistrates endorsed his driving licence with six points.
The defendant was given until June 16 to pay the £816 court bill.
