A BMW driver who failed to licence her car has been hit with a court bill of £1,000.
Jessie Matthews, 34, of Knutsford, pleaded guilty to the offence at Warrington Magistrates Court on April 28.
The defendant’s BMW 118i M Sport was parked outside her home on July 1, last year, without a valid licence, the court heard.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) told magistrates that the previous licence had expired on May 31, 2020.
The annual rate of duty at that time was £155.
Matthews was fined £790, ordered to pay back duty of £163.75 and £90 costs.
Magistrates took the defendant’s guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
The defendant was given until May 27 to pay the £1043.75 court penalty.
