THE search is on to find unsung heroes who have made a big difference to keep their communities safe in Cheshire.
Neighbourhood Watch run awards every autumn but has decided to bring this year’s celebration forward to coincide with the charity’s 40th anniversary.
This organisation is the largest crime prevention voluntary movement in England and Wales with more than 2.3 million members.
Cheshire Neighbourhood Watch Association is looking for nominations for its third Neighbourhood Awards.
The team want to honour a resident, neighbourhood watch coordinator or member who goes out of their way to keep your community safe.
Perhaps someone has done something amazing to help your neighbourhood?
You may know someone who has helped the community combat anti-social behaviour or criminal activity?
Bob Marshall, of Cheshire Neighbourhood Watch Association, said: “In his special anniversary year, the awards will be presented as part of an afternoon tea party event on June 18 to celebrate 40 years of Neighbourhood Watch.
“It started as Home Watch in Cheshire in 1982 and Neighbourhood Watch has since grown to become the largest volunteer network in the UK.”
There are five categories of awards but you can nominate as many people as you wish.
There are only a few days to enter as the closing date is midday on April 24.
