A MAN has been banned from Knutsford while he is awaiting a trial over a day of trouble in the town.
Shayne Coad, formerly of Longridge, but now residing at an address in Wigan, was appearing at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, April 20.
The 19-year-old had admitted being in possession of a kitchen knife in Longridge on March 21. Coad also entered a guilty plea in relation to another charge of affray, with both incidents happening on the same day.
However, he denied two separate charges of assault against a woman, one of which resulted in occasioning her actual bodily harm.
Those attacks are alleged to have taken place between March 18 and 22.
Coad was remanded on conditional bail until the date of his trial, which is scheduled to last just one day and taking place the week commencing September 12.
As part of his bail requirements, the defendant will be electronically tagged and observe a nightly curfew between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
Coad is also prohibiting from entering Knutsford or contacting any of the complainants or witnesses in the case.
