A RUGBY team is kicking off on their pre-season tour, thanks to support from a housing developer.
Wilmslow Wolves Rugby Club has received £1,000 from David Wilson Homes North West to fund a bus to take them to Marlow for a rugby festival.
Richard Hughes, head coach of the under 11s team, said: “We are so happy that we were finally able to proceed with the pre-season tour for our junior team.

“After the pandemic it is crucial that they boys get back to playing, socialising and learning new skills.
“The amazing donation covered the tour bus rental, which had been one of the biggest costs posed to the parents and families of the players and the club.
"It is always important to support the local groups and organisations that help make the community what it is.
“We would also like to say a tremendous thank you to the dedicated under 11 coaches who give all of their time voluntarily.”
Originally founded in 1884, the rugby club boasts a total of 250 players and members spread across 19 different teams.
Robert Holbrook, managing director of David Wilson Homes North West, said: “As a leading developer it is really important that we support the community in the areas in which we build.
“Wilmslow Wolves Rugby Club is doing great to offer children a safe and productive environment for them to make new friends and have fun playing rugby.
“We are very proud to support the club and we hope the tour was a great success.”
