A COMPANY has been fined almost £1,000 for refusing to give police the name of a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Verdegreen UK Landscapers Limited, of Beck House, King Street, Knutsford, was found guilty of the offence, in their absence, at Chester Magistrates Court on April 13.
A police officer had requested the name of the driver of a Vauxhall vehicle on December 3 last year.

The firm was fined £750 and ordered to pay £110 costs and £75 victim surcharge.
Magistrates gave the company until May 11 to pay the £935 court penalty.
