A MAN changed his plea and admitted he assaulted a woman ahead of a trial at court.
Aaron Lee Roberts, of Ringstead Close, Wilmslow, had initially denied attacking the woman in Handforth on October 6 last year.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating at Stockport Magistrates' Court on December 1, 2021.
But when appearing at Chester Magistrates' Court on March 15, the 38-year-old changed his plea to guilty.
Magistrates fined Roberts £650 as punishment for the offence and ordered him to pay £120 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Roberts, who has also been known as Adrian Lee Roberts, must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and complete a rehabilitation activity requirement up to a maximum of 20 days.
