A MAN has been hit with a £800 court penalty for refusing the give police the name of a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Nicholas Owens, 39, of Springwood Avenue, Knutsford, was found guilty at Mold Magistrates Court on March 10 of failing to provide information about the identify of a driver on September 28 last year.
A police officer had requested the name of the driver of a Ford vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Prestatyn, North Wales.

The defendant was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £66 victim surcharge.
The bench imposed six points on his driving licence.
Magistrates gave Owens until April 5 to pay the £816 court penalty.
