AS Christmas approaches, people are being encouraged to continue to support local businesses.
Shops across Knutsford have already reported record sales as more residents and visitors discover the town's unique independent traders.
Cheshire East Council has launched a 'Say 'hi' to the High Street' campaign with adverts and social media videos.

Many businesses say they have been overwhelmed by the response from locals and newcomers.
Peter Murray, who runs Pulse of Perfumery on Princess Street, said: "We are so incredibly busy. We have never seen so many new faces coming into our business.
"There is a magical feeling of visitors coming into the town and discovering us and all the other independent businesses.
"It is absolutely brilliant."
Peter and partner Melanie Seddon invested their life savings to launch their speciality business a decade ago after working in the beauty and perfumery industry for 40 years.
"Knutsford for me just has fantastic energy. The town feels really buzzy. New restaurants are opening up.
"There is a good vibe here."
Arthur Lee Interiors, the town's oldest family business has been overwhelmed by customers.
Helen Dufton, who runs the three-storey store with sister Vicky Wragg, said: "It has been bonkers, we have been so busy.
"We don't sell online because we can't offer the experience of this shop.
"We have an eclectic and quirky mix of furniture interior pieces which constantly evolve to inspire you. We've got ever changing stock."
The spacious Georgian shop on Toft Road has 18 showrooms.
Sandra Curties, town centre and marketing officer, said : "We urge everyone to shop local this Christmas and discover or rediscover what is on their doorsteps.
"Knutsford is blessed with a range a fantastic range of independent shops many of whom will deliver too.
"By shopping locally you are not only buying a unique gift that someone will love but you are supporting a local shop owner and ensuring the longer term vitality of Knutsford’s town centre."
Clr Nick Mannion, chairman of Cheshire East Council's economy and growth committee, said: "We are very keen to get the message out there that your local shops are the places to be this Christmas.
"Shopping local creates a direct positive impact on the local economy and is a brilliant way to support our borough's communities.
"Every purchase means so much to independent retailers and for the consumer.
"It's an opportunity to shop for products that you cannot find elsewhere.
"It's also about that unique sense of familiarity you get from buying locally."
