WITH meetings in person now allowed, members of Knutsford Photographic Society enjoyed their first print competition in nearly two years.
Colour and mono images were on display and more than thirty images were entered into the competition.
The judge for the evening was Colin Douglas, a member at St Helens camera club.
Colin, a keen sports photographer, had a particularly difficult time picking his shortlist and then coming up with the top five in each category.
Although he gave a rounded critique about each image, it was a tough call given the number of high-quality prints.
The top five winners in the colour section were:
- 1st: Luc Royle by Gordon Spruce
- 2nd: Trio of Grasstrackers by Gordon Spruce
- 3rd: Butterfly on orange flower by Margaret Lawless
- 4th: Social comment by Trevor Hosking
- 5th: Battle for the ball by John Cridland
The mono section winners were:
- 1st: Sign of the times by Trevor Hosking
- 2nd: Donuts at dusk by Tim Banks
- 3rd: Perch Rock by Bill McCaig
- 4th: Taking Off at Oulton Park by Trevor Hosking
- 5th: Ferns by Margaret Lawless
Knutsford Photographic Society meets at its Adams Hill meeting room every Tuesday evening from September to April.
