THE Poppy Appeal has been helping the armed services and their families for 100 years.
The Royal British Legion is once again appealing for support from the local community to continue their work.
Chelford resident Sue Roycroft and daughter Helen worked tirelessly to instal large street poppies around the area and raised £3,960 last year, more than twice the previous highest total.
Shops, pubs and local businesses have already pledged support installing large poppies on buildings, lamp posts and vehicles.

Sue, who organises Chelford poppies, said: "Since the first Poppy Appeal in 1921, public kindness and generosity has passed from generation to generation.
"From those who served in the First World War to the men and women of our Armed Forces today, the Royal British Legion believes no-one should suffer for having served others.
"Your support today continues to honour the sacrifice of members of the Armed Forces community, today and tomorrow. "
Special 100 year lapel badges are available for £4, 2021 poppy pins £3, car poppies £5.50, larger vehicle poppies £10 and street poppies are £10.
Sue added: "Street poppies can be displayed outside your home, business or throughout the village to show your backing for this amazing charity."
Helen would like to thank these current sponsors of street poppies:
