A MAN was threatened at knifepoint in a terrifying ordeal.
The 22-year-old man was walking along the underpass between the train station and Tesco on Hibel Road in Macclesfield when he was approached by two men.
The muggers threatened him with a knife and stole his money and a phone.
The victim managed to run off and passed a man who may have seen the incident unfold.
The first suspect is described as white, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and between 30 to 40 years old. He had a light coloured stubbly beard and was wearing a Parker-style jacket with a fur-lined hood.
The second suspect is described as white, with scruffy medium length hair. He was wearing dark clothing.
DC Andy Megson said: “Thankfully the victim was unharmed, but he was left shaken by this.
We’re keen to speak to the man who is a potential witness to the robbery, and I would urge him to get in touch with me. I would also urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in this area, or who has any information that may help, to contact me.”
