A SHOWCASE for community groups is being held to inspire people to try something new.
More than 50 groups will be on display as part of Knutsford's first community fresher's fair from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday.
Inspired by the idea of a university freshers fair, ReFresh Knutsford is being organised by Knutsford Town Council to help connect residents with the various organisations, clubs and societies.
It will give people the chance to discover what is available on their doorstep, whether they are looking for a new book group, wish to try yoga or support a voluntary organisation.

Town clerk Adam Keppel-Green said: “Being involved in an organisation or regular activity strongly contributes to a person’s wellbeing and a strong voluntary sector makes a strong town so this event aims to connect people and make it easier to know what is available in Knutsford.
“Whether its knitting or snooker, gardening or Latin or just something social there are so many groups providing opportunities in the town."
Groups taking part include U3A, Knutsford in Bloom, Tatton Garden Society, Knutsford Hockey Club, Knutsford Snooker Club, the Allotment Society, WI, Egerton Walking Football Club and Fit 4 Life.
Knutsford in Bloom is always looking for volunteers to help brighten up the town.
The fresher's fair will be held at two venues, Knutsford Methodist Church and St John's Church.
Everyone is welcome to pop in.
