A PIONEERING company is celebrating a decade of growth with revenues of more than £90 million this year alone.
Innovative healthcare construction specialist MTX Contracts Ltd in Wilmslow has achieved unprecedented success in 2021 despite the pandemic.
The building firm will complete a flagship project this year constructing a critical care unit at the The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The development marks the largest in the company's history, thanks to pioneering construction.
Managing director David Hartley said: “It’s no surprise that the pandemic saw hardships for multiple businesses.
"However, in a year that saw increased demand across the healthcare industry, pressures placed on funding and speed of delivery, modern methods of construction has provided a fast-track solution with minimal disruption.
“We were incredibly lucky and thankful that through flexible working we have not had to furlough any of our team during the pandemic.
"More recently we’ve expanded our workforce to meet the increased demand for the construction of healthcare facilities.

"We’ve also managed to achieve an accident frequency rate of 0.01 per cent, which is exceptionally low for the industry.”
Wherever possible MTX looks to share its success with others as 78 per cent of turnover is spent with local supply chain partners and 12 per cent of all profits reinvested into community initiatives.
David added: “We’re honoured to support those we employ and in our local communities and last year we were recognised in The Investors in People 2020 Gold Awards.
"The projects we work on provide so much value to the communities in which they operate, and we want to reflect that in the work we do and play our role in both the future of our sector and our region.
“We’re constantly on the look out for ways in which we can support others, and we hope that our next decade brings with it as much success.
"We couldn’t have achieved what we have without the incredible hard work of all our employees and key service providers.”
