FIREFIGHTERS remain at the scene of a large fire at a farm in Allostock after an outbuilding went alight.
Four fire engines, two from Northwich and one from both Sandbach and Middlewich were called to reports of a fire shortly before 1am this morning (Sunday, June 27).
When they arrived at the scene, on Townfield Lane, a building which houses farming equipment and bales of hay was well ablaze.
Firefighters also had to help the farmer to move his livestock to a safe location away from the flames and smoke.
After several hours battling the fire, crews from Congleton and Audlem arrived at the scene at around 5am to relieve those on duty and take over.
