DRIVERS are being warned about long delays on the M6 when two full closures come into force on the motorway in April.
Highways England will be closing both carriageways at junction 19 in order to pour the concrete for the new bridge.
The motorway will be closed between the exit and entry slip roads, meaning drivers will need to follow a short diversion up and over the junction roundabout.
The first closure will take place from 8pm on Friday, April 9, until 6am on Sunday, April 11.
This will be followed by another closure between 8pm on April 16 and 6am on April 18.
The A556 dual carriageway will also be closed in both directions to allow M6 traffic to flow freely over the junction 19 diversion route.
A Highways England spokesman said: "We apologise for any disruption these closures may cause and thank all local residents and road users for their continued patience while we complete this project."
