A SECOND man has now been charged after an armed robbery at a Knutsford bank last Friday (March 5).
Paul Broughton, of Shaw Drive, Knutsford has been charged with robbery and appeared before North Cheshire Magistrates today (March 12).
The 42-year-old was also charged with possessing an imitation firearm.
On Thursday, Cheshire Detectives confirmed they had charged 51-year-old Jason Jenyons with robbery, after the terrifying incident at the Kings Street branch of Natwest.
After their brief appearences before magistrates, both men have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Chester Crown Court on April 8.
The drama unfolded shortly before 1pm when two men burst into the bank, threatened staff, before stealing cash and making their escape on a black motorbike.
Armed police swarmed into the town as roads and roads were closed.
