THE Equine Lane Cheshire Horse Show has been cancelled for a second year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The popular equestrian event, which is usually held in Tabley, Knutsford, in May, announced the decision on social media - but stressed it would return 'bigger and better' next year.
A statement on Facebook reads: "With the uncertainty of the situation and the risk to public health we do not feel we can run safely, and unfortunately running behind closed doors is not financially viable.
"We would like to thank all of our volunteers who have worked so hard behind the scenes to run the show and also our headline sponsor Equine Lane for their ongoing support.
"We would also like to reassure you that we will return next year bigger and better."
A date for the 2022 show is yet to be confirmed.
The Equine Lane Cheshire Horse Show is usually 'a celebration of all things equestrian'.
It combines showing and competitions with family-friendly entertainment.
