FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire involving ivy at the front of a house in Goostrey.
Two crews - from Macclesfield and Wilmslow fire stations - were called to the incident at two-storey house in Blackden Lane on Saturday afternoon.
They extinguished the fire with two hose reel jets. They also used a seven-metre ladder to inspect the roof and make sure that the fire had not spread to it.
A full inspection of the inside of the house, using a thermal imaging camera. No hotspots were found.
Firefighters were in attendance for more than an hour.
The fire is believed to have been started accidentally.
