MOTORISTS have been warned after reports of inconsiderate parking near Pickmere Lake.
A number of people visited the area over the weekend after the Government relaxed lockdown restrictions, with cars being left parked over pavements.
This loosening of restrictions allows households to drive to other destinations in England, with no limit in place on the amount of exercise allowed.
Two people from different households are also allowed to meet in outdoor settings while remaining two metres apart.
Police say that they will step up patrols in the area in future and have urged drivers to avoid parking on the pavement.
In a tweet, High Legh and Mobberley Police said: “I have received complaints regarding parking within the proximity of Pickmere Lake.
“I will be targeting this area over the coming weeks.
“Please be considerate when parking, adhere to the Highway Code and refrain from parking on the pavement.
“You have been warned.”
One nearby resident commented: “I live here and it was ridiculous all weekend.”
