CARD designer Rebecca Hassett has used her artistic talent to support a campaign encouraging people to shop in Knutsford in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Rebecca is the owner of Bexy Boo, and designed a poster illustrating the lower end of King Street with the message – Shop Small, Shop Local and Support the Indies.
The poster will be distributed across all local businesses for use on social media and in their shops so if they are closed people can still order and buy from their local ‘High Street’.
Rebecca said: “I drew the picture because I felt I had to do something to help the High Streets. By shopping local you support these lovely people, their livelihoods and families.
“My business is designing greeting cards and supplying to independent shops across the country. Without them, I won’t be able to continue to do what I love to do.”
Sandra Curties, town centre and marketing officer said: “As soon as I saw Bexy Boo’s design we knew we had to use it. It perfectly sums up the mood and community spirit Knutsford is famous for.
“We urge people to think twice before shopping online and ask themselves – Can I get this locally?
“It has been difficult for the High Street in recent years and we need to support our local shops even more during these challenging times.”
