THE successful three-day folk event ‘Folk at the Theatre’ is set to return to Knutsford Music Festival in 2019 for its second run.

Broadcaster Mark Radcliffe teamed up with Knutsford Town Council last year to deliver a ‘new to 2018’ three-day folk event as part of Knutsford Music Festival, which the town council is pleased to announce will be returning this year.

‘Folk at the Theatre’ will be returning to the Knutsford Little Theatre, which has agreed to host the event once again from Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22 as part of the third year of Knutsford Music Festival, which will be running across four days from Thursday, June 20 to Sunday, June 23.

Mark Radcliffe of BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music brought his experience from running the Radio 2 Folk Show to curate ‘Folk at the Theatre’ in partnership with the festival organisers from Knutsford Town Council.

The event featured three evenings of music from internationally- acclaimed musicians, BBC Folk Awards winners and a finale from Mark Radcliffe himself alongside former band mates from the Family Mahone.

Speaking of the return of ‘Folk at the Theatre’ to the 2019 Knutsford Music Festival, Mark said: “I'm thrilled that we're able once again to bring back three evenings of top-quality folk music to the Little Theatre.

“It gives me such a buzz to be able to share the music I love with the good people of the town I live in. Do come and support us.”

Announcements on this year’s Folk performers will be coming soon, and tickets for the event will be available closer to the festival.
