FIREFIGHTERS were called as smoke ‘billowed from a car engine’ in Chelford Road near Holmes Chapel this morning.
The crew from Holmes Chapel Fire Station was sent to the scene at 8.37am today.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a car on fire on Chelford Road, near Holmes Chapel.
“They arrived to find smoke billowing from the engine so used a single hose reel to make the vehicle safe. They remained at the scene for a further 15 minutes to monitor the engine's temperature.”
