KNUTSFORD Community First Responders Trust raised nearly £2,500 for its Cardiac Risk in the Young appeal at a fundraiser on Saturday.
More than 100 people attended the quiz night, with funds helping the group host two days of cardiac screening this year.
Enjoying a fish and chip supper and quiz, attendees also had the chance to enter a raffle and auction, with prizes including a signed Manchester United football going for £400.
Trust chairman Adrian Rees said: “I’m proud to lead such a dedicated team of volunteers, who not only save lives by their skilled work, but also set up fundraising events - such as our quiz night on Saturday - to raise the required money to pay for the services we provide.
"I would particularly like to acknowlelde the immense work put in by two of our newer first responders, Pauline Coffey & Julie Corcoran, who have been instrumental in raising the awareness of the Knutsford community to our need to raise funds for the screening days and securing a fabulous collection of auction and raffle prizes for the quiz night."
The Trust's Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) project manager Lisa Johnson added: “A big thank you for all those who bought tickets and gave so generously on the night.
"Our second CRY fundraising event is being held on Saturday, July 8 at the Angel with details to be announced shortly.”
Booking for the 100 places for the first CRY screening day on Saturday, July 1 has now opened for anyone aged between 14 and 35.
The screening can identify any underlying or undiagnosed heart conditions.
