THE A50 Newcastle Road remains closed in both directions between the A534 Congelton Road Arclid and the A54 Chester Road, Holmes Chapel following a three car collision.
A closure is also in place on the A5022 between the A50 Congleton Road, and the A50 Newcastle Road.
Three people were taken to North Staffordshire hospital following the crash which happened on the A50, Newcastle Road North at Brereton at around 7.30am this morning.
One of the casualties has serious, but non life-threatening injuries and is in North Staffordshire Hospital.
Another person has been treated for minor injuries and the status of the other is still unknown.
A blue Ssangyong Koranda Sports, a red Honda Civic and a black Nissan Qashqai were involved in the collision.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 178 of 23/12/2015.
