RESDIENTS living in the Norbury Booths Ward in Knutsford have four candidates to choose from to sit on Knutsford Town Council next month.
Three Conservative candidates and one Independent will be looking to be one of three selected to sit on the authority.
Jan Nicholson (Conservative)
"Once again I am delighted to be chosen to represent Norbury Booths Ward, where I have one of your Conservative Councillors at Knutsford Town Council for several years.
"I have lived in Knutsford for 43 years and was honoured to be elected Knutsford Town Mayor in 2007, and have been Consort to two past Mayors.
"I have served on many Knutsford Town Council committees.
"My main interests are our local environment, getting value for money and, through devolvement of power from Cheshire East, I wish to ensure that as a Town Council we get it right for Knutsford and its residents."
Charlotte Greenstein (Independent)
"I grew up in Knutsford and like many of my friends from Bexton Primary and Knutsford High School, I returned to this wonderful town to bring up my family.
"So now is the time for me to give something back. As a mother of young children, a demographic under-represented at the council, I will campaign hard for road safety so that our children and grandchildren can exercise safely and keep healthy.
"I will also work to help local schools and protect our historic heritage, including nearby ancient woodland.
"As an independent candidate, my loyalties lie only in supporting our community."
Hayley Wells-Bradshaw (Conservative)
"The town council plays a key role in local decision making, and I ask for your support to be part of it.
"I stand for the protection and celebration of our heritage, whilst recognising that we need to meet the challenges we face in the 21st Century, head on.
"New housing, and its supporting infrastructure, needs to enhance and compliment our environment. As one of your councillors, I will ensure residents’ views are taken account of.
"I will champion ‘All Things Knutsford. We have a thriving, dynamic local community, with many groups and organisations helping to bring us together."
Jon Wells-Bradshaw (Conservative)
"I offer myself as a candidate to represent Norbury Booths Ward, where I live. I believe it is important to get involved with local decision making – not just to criticise from the side lines.
"Now my two sons are grown up, I have the time, and the commitment, to represent your views and make sure your concerns are listened to.
"Norbury Booths is a beautiful part of our special town, and I will work hard to protect and enhance its unique character and our local environment, as we face the challenges of the future."
