UKIP has named the candidate who will take on George Osborne at the General Election.
Stuart Hutton is a current Nantwich Town councillor and was named as the UKIP candidate for the Tatton constituency at a meeting held on Monday, March 23.
After 15 years working around the world as a Chartered Engineer, he now runs a small engineering company in Cheshire, where he lives with his wife and two young children.
Stuart told the Guardian: "I know the importance of rebalancing our economy to producing things of value, and I understand how this can be achieved with sustainable supply-side economic reform.
"I am especially proud of UKIPs policy of removing tuition fees for those studying Science, Technology or Medical degrees to support our Manufacturing Industry and NHS.
"As a councillor for Nantwich, I know the importance of giving control over local matters to local people – the best custodians of our towns and countryside are those that live there.
"I believe in encouraging, energising and equipping our young people to reach their full potential for the benefit of everyone in our society, and actively support this by giving talks in schools. We progress as a society, but it is individuals that move us, inspire us, and do great things.
"I firmly believe that with more engineers like myself in Parliament, with better understanding technology and the needs of industry, we’d get better decisions, a stronger economy, better public services and an infrastructure fit for a the 21st Century."
