CHEFS at a Mobberley care home are being put to the taste test this week, as the community hosts a delicious and educational menu-tasting afternoon.
On Thursday March 19, friends and relatives of residents, along with Mobberley neighbours, are invited to a menu-tasting afternoon showcasing what’s on offer at Sunrise Senior Living of Mobberley.
From 2pm, chefs will cook a variety of starters, mains and puddings all created using fresh ingredients and designed to meet the nutritional needs of older people.
Chefs will also provide examples of dishes suitable for residents with dysphagia (a difficulty with swallowing), demonstrating how specialised food can be made to be appealing and appetising.
A live musician will also be on hand to keep guests entertained at the Hall Lane home.
Both events are part of ‘Taste of Sunrise’, a national campaign which will see Sunrise communities across the country celebrating the importance of nutritious food for older people during Nutrition and Hydration Week.
