YOUNG bankers at a Knutsford primary school have been getting money saving tips from some professionals from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Newly appointed bankers in Manor Park School's year six were given advice on how to run their school bank from RBS staff Alla Durek and branch manager Chris McKeegan.
The pupils were trained in using paying in slips, completing daily balance sheets and sorting change into money bags.
Headteacher Jo Ashcroft said: "I am delighted that our pupils have been able to take part in this training – they are taking their new banking roles very seriously and are making everyone here at Manor Park very proud.
"It is so important that children develop the skills needed to make them good with money from an early age and having our own pupils run a school bank really does give all of our children the opportunity to learn about managing their money and developing saving habits.
"We are very grateful to the staff at RBS for giving up their time to work with us.”
