OVER 120 people filled the school hall of Bexton Primary to listen to Bexton Adult Choir perform on March 27.
The choir, made up of 36 parents and members of staff, have been rehearsing for eight weeks for the concert and performed a repertoire of songs including ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’, ‘Fix You’, ‘California Dreaming’, and ‘Bring Him Home’, in up to 4-part harmony.
Through choir members taking part and donations taken at the concert for refreshments, nearly £600 was raised, which will be used for resources for the school.
Parent and musical director Rachel Vale said: “The choir have worked so hard and it has really paid off, they delivered an amazing performance, full of enthusiasm and confidence and it has created a real buzz around school.
"It’s also so inspirational for the children to see their parents and teachers performing on stage”.
