MORE than 200 Knutsford people enjoyed an afternoon of top entertainment thanks to the town’s Lions club.
The civic centre theatre on Toft Road was packed as Knutsford and District Lions Club staged its annual senior citizens’ Variety Show on Sunday, February 3.
The audience, which included Town Mayor Clr Vivien Davies and Cheshire East Mayor Clr George Walton, were entertained by Annie’s Treacle Jazz Band, Chelford Bell Ringers and Egerton Primary School Choir.
To end the show Lions members revived memories of Flanagan and Allen and the Crazy Gang while encouraging the audience to join them in singing some of their most popular songs including Underneath the Arches and Run Rabbit Run.
