THE Guardian is urging readers to send in their stories of the town’s unsung heroes.

We have teamed up again with Equilibrium Asset Management to find the Knutsford Community Hero for 2013, but we need your help.

The winner of our Community Hero 2013 campaign will receive £500 and a further £500 to donate to a charity of their choice.

There is also £100 for the person who nominates the eventual winner.

We’re looking for nominations of people who deserve to follow last year’s winner, Kane Gunter, in being crowned this year’s Community Hero.

Our hero could be any age; all we want to know is what they do to make Knutsford a better place to live.

Colin Lawson, managing partner of Equilibrium Asset Management, said: “We notice the strong sense of community spirit in our clients who visit our Knutsford office, and the pride they have in their town convinced us to support this campaign again.

“Even the simplest things, such as running errands or being there for company and a chat can make a huge difference to people’s lives. That’s why we want as many nominations as possible, to showcase the thoughtful things people do to help others.”

Send your nomination, with your name, address and contact details, and 250 words on why you believe your nominee should be crowned Community Hero 2013, to the Knutsford Guardian, 3-6 Theatre Court, London Road, Northwich.

You can e-mail nominations to james.wilson@guardiangrp.
