HEWITT Hazel Muriel On 12th April 2024, suddenly in hospital, formerly of Lower Peover. Hazel, aged 88 years, dear wife of the late Peter, much loved mother to Suzanne and Philip, devoted grandmother to Rebecca and Jordan, beloved great-nan to Thea and Maeva. Funeral Service will be held at St. Oswald's Church, Lower Peover, on Thursday 2nd May at 1.00 pm, followed by committal at Vale Royal Crematorium. Family flowers only please. I was sad to hear about Hazels death as she was a good friend to me at one time when we both worked at Tatton Park. Sadly we lost touch in the last few years but I always thought of her and wondered if she had gone to live with her daughter in her later years?
Hazel was very knowledgeable about Knutsford local History and about Tatton Parks history too -remembering the war years and her Uncle who was a Gamekeeper at the old Hall. We have lost such a lot of knowledge with Hazel leaving us. Had I known it was her funeral I would have been there to see her off. I send my condolences to her family with good wishes. Janice Mason
