MICHAEL COPPLE Passed away suddenly on Thursday 18th July 2019 aged 79 at his home in Salford. He was a much loved Dad of Peter, Michelle and Michael and treasured Grandad of his 4 granddaughters. Mike will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him, as he touched many hearts and helped anyone who needed it. He meant so much to so many. He worked for many years for Air Products Ltd as well as being a town, borough and county Councillor for Knutsford and was a great leader of community spirit. He served as a fellow at Windsor Castle and during his retirement as a director for Salix homes. Mike had a passion for history, computers and flying, as well as his beloved Durham where he spent a huge part of his childhood. He was known for his quick wit, kind and compassionate nature. For those wishing to pay respects a funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Dolours Servite Parish, 500 Bury New Road, Salford M7 4ND on Wednesday 7th August 2019 at 9.45am followed by Agecroft Crematorium, Langley Road, Pendlebury, Swinton M27 8SS. Family flowers only by request, donations if desired to 'British Heart Foundation' and 'Emmaus UK'(supporting the homeless).
