EDNA LILIAN GOODER The funeral took place on Tuesday 15th October of Mrs Edna Lilian Gooder, aged 89 years who died in Macclesfield Hospital on Thursday 19th September. She was the widow of the late Ernie Gooder. She enjoyed attending Mountview Day Centre and the Tea Club at Wellsrping Church. The Reverend P Butler conducted the service at Macclesfield Crematorium, during the service the hymns Jerusalem and Abide With Me were sung. Edna was born on the 14th January 1924. Mourners were: Margaret Brown (daughter); David Brown; Sarah and Huw Crampton; Pauline Cartlidge; Joan Crampton; John and Cheryl Brown; Greg Hawkins; Julie Hawkins; Leslie Hawkins; Ivy Hawkins; Sue Berry; Christine Barker also rep Roy Barker; Gladys Done also rep Mount View Day care; Ken Hampson; Lesley Wright; Brian Wright; Beverley Platt; Gary Ormesher; Layla Ormesher; Gordon Smith; Janet Smith; Sandra Bucknall and David Bucknall also rep T Bucknall; Hazel Diamond; Stephen Taylor.
